Woman Stripped Off Hijab, Hindu Man Accompanying Her Assaulted In UP's Muzaffarnagar | On Cam
A woman was stripped off her hijab and a Hindu man accompanying her was beaten by a mob in Muzaffarnagar. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

A woman’s hijab was allegedly forcibly removed, and a Hindu man who accompanied her was thrashed by a group of men in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, the police said.
The video of the incident, that took place on Saturday, went viral on social media, drawing the attention of the netizens as well as the authorities.

In the video, a man was seen stripping the woman off her hijab as other people around physically assaulted her and the man who was with her. The woman was identified as Farheen, 20, and Sachin – both of whom were associated with Utkarsh Small Finance Bank.
The incident occurred in the Khalapar area when they were returning after collecting a loan installment.
Farheen, the daughter of Farhana, who lives in Khalapar, was riding on a motorcycle with Sachin, following her mother’s instructions.
On their way back, they were stopped by a group of around 10 people who allegedly attacked and abused the duo.
As the police received the information, they rushed to the spot, took control of the crowd, and evacuated the victim duo from the mob to the police station. Based on Farheen’s complaint, the police registered a case.
“On April 12, between around 4 and 4:30 PM, a Hindu man from the Bhavan area and a Muslim woman from Khalapar—both working with Utkarsh Small Finance Bank—were coming back from Sujdu after collecting a loan payment. On the way, some local people stopped them and attacked them in Darzi Wali Gali," Muzaffarnagar City Circle Officer Raju Kumar Sao said.
The police arrested six persons in connection with the incident.
The CO said that more arrests would be made as more people are identified from the viral video. The official assured of strict action against them.
