Kesari Chapter 2 Release: At the Kesari 2 premiere in Delhi, Akshay Kumar urged the audience to focus on the film's dialogues and avoid using their phones. Political leaders and the film's stars attended.

Kesari 2 Release: We all know Akshay Kumar for his action-packed performances and larger-than-life roles, but at the grand premiere of Kesari 2 in Delhi on April 15, he showed us his softer, more emotional side. Standing in front of an excited crowd just days before the film’s big release, Akshay didn’t hype up the action or the scale of the film. Instead, he made a humble little request.
Kumar urged the audience to put away their phones and focus on the film’s dialogues. “I humbly request you all to please keep your phones in your pockets and listen to every dialogue of this film. It will mean a lot. If you try to check your Instagram during the movie, it will be a humiliation for the film. So I request everyone to keep their phones away."

The grand premiere of Kesari 2 turned into a star-studded evening in Delhi, with several prominent political leaders and dignitaries making their way to the special screening. Among those present were Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Bansuri Swaraj, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, along with Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra, and Ashish Sood.
Held at a popular theatre in Chanakyapuri, the event had a buzz of excitement in the air. Lead stars Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan were seen warmly welcoming their guests, personally greeting them as they arrived. It was an exclusive screening ahead of the film’s official release.
Kesari 2, directed by first-time filmmaker Karan Singh Tyagi, dives deep into a powerful slice of history. The film brings to life the incredible true story of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, who bravely took on the British Empire in a courtroom battle back in the 1920s. His fight for justice not only shook the colonial establishment but also became a turning point in India’s legal and political struggle for independence.
Kesari 2 is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat, great-grandson of C. Sankaran Nair, and Pushpa Palat. The film follows Nair’s bold legal battle after he was sued by Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab. Nair had exposed British atrocities in his writings, including the horrors of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, leading to this landmark trial.
Backed by Karan Johar, Kesari 2 is all set to hit theatres on April 18, 2025.
