Dupahiya Season 2 Announced; Cast Drops Wholesome Video Featuring Gajraj Rao And Sparsh Shrivastava | Watch
After winning hearts with its lighthearted storytelling, Dupahiya is officially set to return with Season 2.
After receiving love from audiences for its heartwarming narrative, Dupahiya is officially coming back for a second season. The light-hearted series, which began streaming on March 7 on Amazon Prime Video, stars Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Bhuvan Arora, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Shivani Raghuvanshi. Following the success of its debut season, Prime Video India confirmed that Dupahiya Season 2 is in development.
To announce the second season, Prime Video shared a quirky video on Instagram featuring the show’s lead cast. The clip opens with the group singing, “Aave laa Dupahiya," only for Bhuvan Arora to hilariously interrupt with, “Kya aavela aavela, aa to gaya hai aur kitna aayega?" Sparsh Shrivastava jumps in with a cheeky retort: “Fir se aa raha hai bey, aur tum na ee hamri khushiyon pe zyada paani mat fera karo, panauti ho tum."

Adding his signature humor, Gajraj Rao quips, “Dupahiya nahin tum dono ka jo zabaan hai na vo highway pe nikal raha hai, sambhalo, break lagao uspe…gaana gao…vaapas aavela hai Dupahiya." The video ends with the on-screen message: “Aavela Dupahiya Season 2 in development," followed by the caption: “Koi daatega nahi na? Kyunki humne Dupahiya Season 2 mangwa liya hai."
Directed by Sonam Nair and created by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani under Bombay Film Cartel LLP, Dupahiya was written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg. Set in the fictional village of Dhadakpur, the story centers around a motorbike theft that disrupts the otherwise crime-free community, leading to chaos and hilarity.
Also featuring Yashpal Sharma, the nine-episode series struck a chord with viewers for its charming characters, clever writing, and grounded storytelling. With Season 2 now officially in the works, fans can expect more small-town misadventures and laughs from the world of Dupahiya—soon to return to their screens.
