Kunal Kamra Gets An Open Threat From Shiv Sena Leader: 'Do Not Test Out Patience'
Shiv Sena leader Shambhuraj Desai recently demanded Kunal Kamra's arrest and threatened him.

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra recently became embroiled in a massive controversy over his alleged comments on Maharashtra deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. While the comedian is facing backlash and legal issues because of this, Shiv Sena leader Shambhuraj Desai has now demanded his arrest.

“We have been asked by Shinde to observe restraint, that is why we are quiet. As Shiv Sena workers, we know how to drag him out from wherever he is hiding, but as ministers, we have some restrictions," the Shiv Sena leader said.
“Do not test our patience. Nab him from wherever he is, put him in a tyre and give him ‘prasad’," he added.
Kunal Kamra has been facing backlash from the Shiv Sena specifically for his comments against the Maharashtra deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. During a recent show, Kamra dubbed a parody song of a Hindi film and labelled Eknath Shinde a “traitor" for his 2022 rebellion against the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government. Weighing on the Maharashtra politics with a musical touch to the song ‘Bholi Si Surat’, Kamra mocked Shinde and sang, “Meri nazar se tum dekho to gaddar nazar wo aaye. Haaye!"

After the clip went viral on social media, Shiv Sena warned of legal action and some of its workers vandalised the venue where the show was recorded. 12 party leaders were arrested but were later released on bail. A police case was also registered against Kamra, who in turn, has made it clear that he won’t apologise for his comments.
It was recently reported that the comic told the police that he did not regret his remarks made during the show and would only apologise if instructed by the courts. However, Kamra said that he will adhere to the law. Meanwhile, Kamra has also received an anticipatory bail from the Madras High Court.
