BTS star Jung Ho Seok, popularly known as J-Hope, is gearing up for his first solo world tour following his military service. While fans are thrilled to see him take centre stage as a solo artist, many are expressing frustration with BTS’ label, BigHit Music, and its parent company, HYBE. Since the tour’s announcement in January, ARMYs have voiced their disappointment over the agency’s minimal promotional efforts.

Many took to social media platforms and even pointed out the inadequate ticketing information about J-Hope’s tour, further claiming that buyers were not made aware of the seating restrictions and other information about the tickets, as per Koreaboo. A fan wrote, “Hoseok is smart af. He’s keeping his audience engaged in his content through TikTok and counting down to his concert because we know, big acc BIGHIT_MUSIC is dry."

Fans have expressed their confusion on other matters, with one sharing, “Seeing how Hybe treats tours is giving me headaches. No announcement for pre-sales and no announcement for side view ticketing; they made everything more confusing compared to other BTS/solo tours, but they didn’t give us any explanation… Is J-Hope finally an independent artist or not?"

As the tour approaches on February 28, frustrations have been at their peak. “BIG HIT and HYBE are such mediocre and useless companies. Ever since Hobi was discharged from the military, he hasn’t stopped working, yet they still don’t give him the recognition a world-class star like him deserves. For years, we’ve noticed these companies’ lack of professionalism towards j-hope. Hobi needs to switch companies NOW!" a J-Hope fanclub remarked.

For those unaware, J-Hope will kickstart his Hope On The Stage world tour on February 28 with a three-day concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. It will include several other stops across Asia and North America. The BTS rapper is also likely to release new music in March this year.
