Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt And Vicky Kaushal Starrer Love & War Likely To Skip March 2026 Release: Report
The film was officially announced in January 2024. Originally, it was slated for a Christmas 2025 premiere then move to March 20,2026 release
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated film Love & War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, has been grabbing attention for a long time. It was announced for release in March 2026. But now a report is coming in that the film is likely to skip the March release. However, nothing has been made official till now. Originally, it was slated for a Christmas 2025 premiere.
The Hollywood Reporter India has mentioned in its report that there could be a change in Love & War’s release date. “The current shooting timeline of Love & War involves a mega war sequence, which Bhansali will mount on a huge scale. But that will only be shot in November," a source said.

“It will be impossible for Love & War to finish post-production and come on the big screen two months later in March. So the film might get pushed," the source added. However, an official confirmation from team Sanjay Leela Bhansali is awaited.
Love and War will be the first collaboration of Ranbir and Bhansali after the actor’s 2007 debut Saawariya. The film was officially announced in January 2024. The original announcement on Instagram read, “We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Saga ‘Love & War.’ See You At The Movies Christmas 2025."
Previously in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Alia Bhatt expressed her excitement about the project. “There are so many layers to look forward to, that I don’t know which one to pick. First and foremost, the pleasure and honour of working with Sanjay sir, once again, under his guidance and gaze, flourish is step number one. You can go anywhere with it because of his attention to detail and his attention to you," Alia said.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor is currently shooting for Ramayana. The film will be released in two parts. The film’s first poster has been released along with the release date. Ranbir plays the role of Lord Ram. The two-part films are directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The release date was confirmed by Prime Focus Studios’ Namit Malhotra.
And Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Chhaava with Rashmika Mandanna. The film was super hit at the box office.
