Rhea Chakraborty Is 'Redeemed' Says Fatima Sana Shaikh As CBI Closes Sushant Singh Rajput Case: 'Trial Is Over'
Fatima Sana Shaikh agrees that Rhea Chakraborty needs a public apology.

Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has expressed relief now that Rhea Chakraborty has been cleared in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Fatima has always been vocal about her support for Rhea and even defended her during the ‘witch trial’ in 2020. After years of speculation, Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, and their family have been officially cleared by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.
As people in the media call for a nationwide apology for the intense scrutiny that Rhea was subjected to, Fatima Sana Shaikh is ‘glad’ that her tribulations are finally over. Fatima shared a post on Instagram about how Rhea Chakaborty’s reputation was destroyed for TRPs and that the CBI should have filed the closure report years ago. She wrote, “So true! So glad that finally this trial is over for you baby girl."

The actress shared another post which read, “News channels who went on a vicious witch hunt against Rhea Chakraborty back in the day must submit an open public apology and be sued for lack of accountability. I remember the trauma Rhea and her family went through for no fault, just because some political elements and news channels were busy peddling fake, sensationalized news for TRPs and their own vested interests. Rhea stands fully vindicated and redeemed. My soft spot for her will be for life."
For the unversed, it has been concluded there was no evidence of foul play in Rajput’s tragic death in his Mumbai apartment in 2020. The case has now been called a ‘simple case of suicide’. However, back in 2020, Rhea Chakraborty and her family were subjected to intense scrutiny and the actress and her brother were even arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) over a drug-related case linked to Sushant’s death.
