Shankar Mahadevan To Rishab Sharma: List of Artists To Perform At Maha Kumbh 2025
Shankar Mahadevan will mark the beginning of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 with his soulful voice on the opening day.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which is known for being one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, is set to take place from January 13 to February 26 at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. The once-in-12-year cultural event is famous for the sacred ritual of bathing in rivers, which is believed to wash away sins. Apart from this ritual, the Kumbh Mela will also feature religious talks, cultural processions and performances.
For Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, the Uttar Pradesh government has extended an invitation to a bunch of popular artists from all over the country to perform at the religious event. According to a press release by the Ministry of Culture, singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Kailash Kher and Shaan are set to perform at the grand cultural event.

According to the release, Mahadevan will mark the beginning of the festivities with a soulful performance on the opening day. Mohit Chauhan will close the event on the last day. Throughout the Maha Kumbh Mela, many other artists from all over India will showcase the diversity of Indian music, dance and storytelling.
Some notable names are Kailash Kher, Shaan Mukherjee, Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kavita Seth, Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, Shovana Narayan, Dr L Subramaniam, Bickram Ghosh and Malini Awasthi. While Shaan will perform on January 27, Hariharan’s performance will take place on February 10, followed by Kailash Kher’s on February 23. According to the press release, these artists’ performances will create a mesmerising atmosphere for the devotees at the Maha Kumbh Mela.
These performances will take place at the Ganga Pandal on the Kumbh Mela grounds. These events, featuring classical dances, folk music and dramatic arts, will offer devotees and visitors a look at India’s rich culture, offering both a spiritual as well as artistic experience.
In other news, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj to inspect the preparations for the cultural event. He met with sadhus, visited the akharas, and took the Nishadraj cruise to review the preparations. Previously, UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak shared that 125 ambulances, equipped with 15 advanced life support systems, have been deployed at the Mela grounds.
The 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela is being celebrated after 12 years, and over 45 crore devotees are expected to take part in the event. In the course of Maha Kumbh, the devotees will gather at the Sangam to take holy dips.
