Southern Charm's Craig Conover Says He Was 'Best Friends' With Ex-Paige DeSorbo
Craig Conover confirmed his breakup with Paige DeSorbo in the finale episode of Southern Charm Season 10.
For about three years, Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo’s romance captured everyone’s attention, only to shockingly announce their separation last year. In the months that followed, both Conover and DeSorbo have been opening up about their side of the breakup, and it seems they aren’t very much in sync. After DeSorbo made their split public in December 2024, Craig Conover also confirmed the same on the Southern Charm Season 10 finale, leaving fans intrigued.
In a recent interview with People, Conover spilled beans about his relationship with ex-girlfriend Paige DeSorbo, lamenting over sharing a “great sex life" with her. “We were best friends, we loved each other, we had a great sex life, we just checked so many boxes," he shared, further adding that he was uncertain about moving on from her as he felt he wouldn’t find another relationship as such. The 37-year-old also revealed designing an engagement ring for DeSorbo and that he planned to propose to her last year before their relationship hit rock bottom. “She asked me to buy her a ring, and I did. Then she was like, ‘Actually, hold off.’ Looking back, maybe that was her starting to panic or freak out," he shared.

On the contrary, Paige DeSorbo doesn’t seem to be on the same page as she admits to being “blinded" by Craig Conover’s “embarrassing" behaviour. Speaking on the Summer House aftershow, DeSorbo said, “I think I loved him so much that I tolerated too much, and now that I’m out of it and I look back at things, I’m like, ‘Oh, wait.'" Noting that her ex-boyfriend would always “find a way to make it about himself," the 32-year-old added, “It was just embarrassing. So, that’s something that I look back on now, and I’m like, ‘Oh, wow, I really was very blinded.’ I had to do a lot of damage control."
In the finale episode of Southern Charm, Craig Conover, while speaking to Austen Kroll and Shep Rose, revealed that DeSorbo announced her decision after Thanksgiving. “Paige and I had a great Thanksgiving together. Everything was normal with her parents, like our chemistry and everything. Then a couple of weeks later she called me and was like, ‘We have to talk,'" he shared, further adding that the breakup talk happened right before Christmas.
