Aamir Khan’s last film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, failed to perform well at the box-office, and was declared a flop. Aamir has always been vocal about how the film’s failure affected him greatly. In a recent video, the actor was seen guessing badly described plots of his films. He was quick to guess Laal Singh Chaddha, due to its hilarious reference to the film’s box office failure. The actor sportingly joked about the debacle.
A video shared by Aamir Khan Productions on Instagram shows the Bollywood superstar attempting to decode badly described plots of his own films. The first description was, “She didn’t see it coming." Aamir had a hard time figuring it out, however he finally got it! “One of my films? Aaah… Fanaa! Now I’m getting it." Another clue was, “He had a good run. The film didn’t." Aamir correctly guessed that it was ‘Laal Sing Chaddha.’ He hilariously replied, “Laal Singh Chaddha. Bohot bhaaga hu main bhai. Desh bhar mein bhaaga hu. Lekin film nahi chali. Kya hai ki meri filmein bohot kam nahi chali hain, toh unko main bohot nazdeek rakhta hu. (I’ve run a lot. I’ve run all across the country. But the film didn’t do well. The thing is, my films rarely don’t do well, so I hold them very close to me)."

Reacting to this video, Taare Zameen Par actor Darsheel Safary dropped laughing emojis. Many others found the video hilarious, while many lauded the fact that Aamir took it in his stride. “The last dialogue (red heart emoji," wrote one fan, while another one commented, “One box office flop amidst many blockbusters. Let it go." Another fan wrote, “Nahi.. Aamir sir. LSC was a nice film."
This isn’t the first time Aamir Khan has addressed Laal Singh Chaddha failure. Last month, at the ABP Network’s Ideas of India 2025 event, Aamir, who sees himself as an “emotional person," shared, “When my films don’t work, I feel sad. Filmmaking is tough, and sometimes things don’t go as planned. In Laal Singh Chaddha, my performance was a bit too high, and it didn’t work as well as Tom Hanks’ version." He added, “When my films fail, I go into a sort of depression for two to three weeks. Then, I sit with my team, analyze what went wrong, and learn from it. I really value my failures because they push me to do better."
Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha hit theatres in August 2022. It failed to impress the audience and earned hardly Rs 60 crore at the Indian box office.
