In exciting news for soccer enthusiasts, the Manchester Football Club will soon begin training in Kolkata, a city renowned for its passion for the sport.

Techno India Group has partnered with Manchester City Football Group to launch the first-ever Manchester City Football School in Kolkata, marking a significant milestone in the development of football in the country. This initiative aims to nurture young talents by providing a unique blend of world-class football coaching combined with a strong foundation for mind and body development.

In addition to football training, exceptional students will have the chance to train at Manchester City’s facilities in the United Kingdom. These students will be invited to experience the renowned training environment and gain exposure to top-tier international football facilities.

All enrolled students will receive detailed performance reports and personalised improvement plans during the programme, crafted by experts from the City Football Group. These reports will be sent to the Man City Football School in Kolkata and distributed among the students, providing valuable insights and tailored recommendations to enhance their skills and understanding of the game from a professional level.

The partnership was established during chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s visit to London. On Tuesday, a business session presented by the Bengal government and industry players from both sides took place.

Debdut Roychowdhury, director of Techno India Group, highlighted the importance of the partnership, expressing pride and excitement in collaborating with Manchester City Football School. He emphasised the combination of world-class football training expertise with Kolkata’s rich football heritage, reflecting a commitment to nurturing future champions.

She looked forward to creating a first-class educational experience with fully trained, full-time Manchester City coaches, based on the same methods used in their Manchester programs, tailored to the level of each player.

    Banerjee, along with Bengal industry leaders in London, thanked Manchester Football Club for this collaboration. She emphasised Bengal’s love for football and cricket and expressed gratitude for the partnership with Techno India Group. Banerjee also reiterated the need for direct flights between London and Kolkata.
