‘Air India Sucks!’ Man Blasts Airline After Being Sent On A Wild Goose Chase For Lost Checked-In Luggage
Air India lost a passenger's checked-in luggage during his flight from Delhi to Bengaluru in January.

“Air India sucks!" – that’s what a frustrated passenger wrote on social media after the airline lost his checked-in luggage and made him run from pillar to post for over a month. Pratik Rai is still without his bag and has lost all hope of ever getting it back.
Rai, in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), shared that he checked in his luggage on January 21 at Delhi airport. As per the baggage tracker by Air India, the bag was loaded onto the aircraft at 6:39 PM and arrived at Bengaluru airport at 10:57 PM.

However, when Rai couldn’t find his luggage at the baggage belt, he filed a formal complaint. The authorities assured him that he would receive it within 24 hours.
Two days later, the airline informed him that his bag had never been loaded onto the flight from Delhi to Bengaluru, adding that it was in the lost and found department at IGI airport.
Rai then took to social media to share his ordeal. Following his post in January, the airline’s social media team reached out and marked his baggage search as a priority.
“This priority service after 7 days informs me that the bag was never loaded from Delhi due to a tag issue. So, currently, my bag is in Delhi Terminal 3 where I boarded the flight from. I got the Delhi team’s contact number. And here, the story gets even more interesting," he recalled.

When he finally got through to the Delhi Air India team, they told him that since more than five days had passed, his bag had been transferred to the Terminal 2 Lost and Found department., adding that “they cannot deliver the bag and Rai have to visit Delhi Airport Terminal 2" to collect it.
Rai went to the Delhi airport on February 2, only to find the Lost and Found department closed due to the Delhi Elections.
When he visited the Delhi airport the next day for his luggage, he was told to submit CCTV footage to prove ownership as it had someone else’s documents stuffed inside it. “After aimless calls and two wasted days, I don’t get my bag," he continued.
“After following up multiple times, I don’t think I’ll ever get my bag. And this can happen to any of us!" Rai warned.
He ended his detailed thread with the words: “Slow claps, common Air India, you can do better."
