In a bizarre incident, a man in Madhya Pradesh stole a luxury car worth nearly Rs 1 crore to placate his angry wife. The incident took place in Harda, where the accused, Durgesh Rajput, was apprehended by police within hours of the theft.
Rajput, a driver from Khandwa district, was employed by Rakesh Agarwal, a resident of Indore. Agarwal owns a Range Rover. On Monday morning, Rajput asked Agarwal for the car keys, claiming he needed to clean the vehicle. Trusting his employee, Agarwal handed over the keys. However, Rajput drove off to meet his wife instead of cleaning the car.

When Agarwal realised his car and driver were both missing, he immediately reported the theft to the Palasia police station in Indore. Fortunately, the stolen Range Rover was equipped with a GPS system, which police used to track its movements.
Within six hours, police tracked the car to Harda district, where officers from three police stations intercepted it. Rajput was apprehended within 45 minutes and taken into custody. Indore police arrived shortly after and took possession of the stolen vehicle and the accused.
During questioning, Rajput confessed to stealing the car to appease his wife. The police were surprised by his motive.
