According to the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, the woman called them on Friday and informed Sheriff’s Deputy Derek Kennemore that she had received a May USA Today article asking readers for assistance in identifying a hospitalised man who was non-verbal at a Los Angeles facility. Kennemore was informed by the woman that she thought this man was her brother, who had gone missing in 1999 and had not been heard from since.
How Did The Woman Get To Know About His Brother?
The woman who came across the article read the newspaper repeatedly, and when her suspicion was confirmed, she called the police right away. She shares the 25-year-old truth with the police.
According to the woman, her brother vanished from Doyle, California, in 1999. Since then, no one has heard about him. Regarding his whereabouts at this period, nobody knows. However, that individual was discovered in South Los Angeles on April 15 and taken to St Francis Medical Centre in Lynwood. He couldn’t even remember his name. His relatives could not be contacted in such a circumstance.
To verify his identity, authorities quickly got in touch with a detective from the Los Angeles Police Department’s missing persons squad. After that, the detective collected and examined the patient’s fingerprints at the hospital in Los Angeles. The findings proved that he was, in fact, the woman’s brother who had vanished almost thirty years prior.
With the help of his sister, the individual who lost 25 years ago will now be reunited with his family. For reasons of secrecy, the police did not divulge any information regarding the missing individual or his sister.
