Controversy erupted over the latest episode of Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ that featured well-known influencers such as YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as Beer Biceps, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Makhija and stand-up comedian Jaspreet Singh. In the show, controversial remarks were made by the comedians and YouTubers owing to which several complaints were lodged against them.

Apoorva Makhija aka ‘The Rebel Kid’ also faced heavy criticism for her inappropriate remarks on the show. Widely recognised as Rebel Kid or Kaleshi Aurat, Apoorva Makhija is famous for her Instagram skits and reels in which she is seen sharing candid commentary on everyday life using strong language.
Her reels also include fashion and travel vlogging, using which she has partnered with prominent international companies as well.
Forbes named her among the Top 100 Digital Stars and she has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Amazon, Meta, and Maybelline.
She has faced criticism for the use of foul language before as well as recently at an event at Delhi Technological University (DTU) , Apoorva Mukhija was seen in a heated exchange of words with the audience.
Ranveer Allahbadia apologises over ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy
Apoorva Makhija has yet to respond to the controversy. However, Ranveer Allahbadia posted a video on X and shared his regret over comments made on the show. He said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously this is not how I wish to use it. I’m not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened."
