Astro Tips: Two Eclipses Within 15 Days This Month, Ayodhya Astrologer Explains The Impact
In March 2025, India and the world will witness a lunar eclipse on March 14 and a solar eclipse on March 29. Both eclipses will not be visible in India and will not affect any religious practices

Eclipses hold significant importance in astrology, while from a scientific perspective, they are classified as astronomical events. In March, India and the world will witness two eclipses within 15 days: one lunar and one solar.
From a religious standpoint, eclipses are generally considered inauspicious. In Hinduism, this leads to the observance of Sutak, a period during which certain activities are restricted. On March 14, the first lunar eclipse of the year will occur, coinciding with the festival of Holi. Subsequently, on March 29, the first solar eclipse of 2025 will take place.

Since this lunar eclipse will occur during daylight hours in India, it will not be visible, and the Sutak period will not be observed. The eclipse will be visible in countries such as Australia, Europe, Africa, East Asia, and South America.
Regarding the solar eclipse, Pandit Kalki Ram explains that it will occur on March 29, coinciding with Chaitra Amavasya. This eclipse will begin at 2:20 pm and end at 6:16 pm IST. It will be visible in regions including Australia, Asia, and the Indian Ocean. However, like the lunar eclipse, it will not be visible in India, and the Sutak period will not apply.
In summary, both the lunar and solar eclipses in March 2025, occurring within 15 days of each other, will not be visible in India and will not have any significant impact on religious practices here. However, they will be observable in other parts of the world, with potential implications for those regions.
