After making everyone wait for quite a long time, the much-awaited Defender Octa has finally reached the Indian shore. The toughest off-roader in the segment has been launched at the starting price of Rs 2.59 cr, while the special edition goes up to Rs 2.79 lakh (all ex-showroom).
The company has already started the bookings for the CBU unit. In case you are interested the SUV can be reserved by visiting the company’s authorised dealership nationwide. It has been reported that the allocated models for the Indian market have already been sold out. The target audience can still reserve the vehicle. However, it might come with a waiting period of around 5 to 6 months.

Talking about the road presence, the latest offering comes with an aggressive style statement, featuring the iconic bold design, and enhanced looks from both inside and outside. It gets the updated grill at the front, and improved wheel arches with a new encircled diamond graphic, including a gloss black diamond within a machined and sandblasted titanium disc on each Signature Graphic panel.
As per the details shared by the brand, the latest Octa became higher and wider by 28 mm and by 68 mm respectively. The ground clearance has also received some enhancement, making it superior in the segment.

Jumping inside the cabin, the interior gets a new Burnt Sienna semi-aniline leather with KvadratTM textile trim in Ebony. It also has been given a fully digital instrument cluster, complimented by a robust infotainment system that supports all the wireless car connect technology.
Engine and Capabilities
Under the hood, it is powered by the most advanced 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine that generates a maximum power of 626 bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque. The company claims that the vehicle can do 0-100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds.
