Investigation revealed that the manufacturer had violated safety standards, prompting the Transport Department to impose a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the company

As the government promotes electric vehicles, concerns regarding their reliability and quality are coming under scrutiny. The initial surge in demand for electric vehicles is waning, potentially due to safety apprehensions.
Incidents involving fires and battery explosions have raised questions about the safety of these vehicles. While governments advocate for e-vehicle adoption, there is a lack of public awareness about safety precautions and quality standards. Even with affordable and prevalent options like e-rickshaws, risks persist due to non-compliance with safety measures, including the possibility of catching fire.
