Royal Enfield’s new brand Flying Flea has teamed up with Italian artist Mattia Biagi to create a motorcycle turned artwork named Motototem.

Unveiled at the Salone Del Mobile in Milan, this art bike goes beyond design and functionality. It symbolises creativity, sustainability, and a deep connection to nature.

The Motototem is based on the Flying Flea FF.C6, a modern electric motorcycle inspired by the original Flying Flea from the 1940s. While the FF.C6 retains a classic silhouette, Biagi has transformed it into a moving sculpture, using natural materials and handmade elements.

The handlebar grips are replaced with bronze pieces shaped like the artist’s fingerprint. The footpegs follow the same design, adding a tactile connection between rider and bike. Also, the head and tail lights are replaced with delicate hand-blown glass.

Furthermore, the fuel tank is hand-crafted from travertine stone and shaped to resemble a parachute – a nod to the original airborne Flying Flea. The fenders contain real leaves cast in clear resin, representing growth and new life. The seat is made from solid walnut wood, adding warmth and organic texture to the design.

Mario Alvisi, Chief Growth Officer – Electric Vehicles at Royal Enfield, shared,"Royal Enfield considers its motorcycles as spaces for creative expression, and Flying Flea naturally extends that idea into new and exciting realms. Motototem is not just an interpretation of a motorcycle, it’s a reflection of how design, culture and mobility can come together to create something genuinely inspiring."
