BEL Share Price: Shares of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) jumped 3 per cent intraday on Tuesday on the order worth Rs 2,210 crore from Indian Air Force. The scrip traded at Rs 281.45 apiece around 9:50 AM, against the day’s opening at Rs 282.85 apiece and the previous day close at Rs 273.15 apiece. The day’s high of BEL shares remained at Rs 288 apiece.

    “Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a contract with Ministry of Defence valued at Rs.2,210 Crores (excluding taxes) for supply of EW Suite for Mi 17 V5 Helicopters of Indian Air Force. These systems are indigenously designed and developed by CASDIC, DRDO and manufactured by BEL. The EW Suite comprises Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS) and Counter Measure Dispensing System (CMDS) which significantly enhance the combat survivability of the helicopters along with effective counter measures," the company informed in a filing dated April 07.
    The total order of BEL for FY 2025-26 is around Rs 2,803 crore.
    Yesterday, the scrip settled 2.48 per cent lower at Rs 273.15 apiece, against the previous day close at Rs 280.10 apiece.

    BEL Financials 

    For the period ending Dec-24, BEL reported revenue of Rs 5,756.12 crore, up from Rs 4,583.41 crore in Sep-24 and contributing to the FY23-24 total of Rs 20,169.39 crore. The net profit for Dec-24 was Rs 1,316.06 crore, compared to Rs 1,091.27 crore in Sep-24, leading to a cumulative net profit of Rs 4,020.00 crore for FY23-24.

    Key financial metrics show an EPS of Rs 1.81 for Dec-24, increasing from Rs 1.49 in Sep-24, and a FY23-24 EPS of Rs 5. The cash EPS stood at Rs 1.94 in Dec-24, up from Rs 1.63 in Sep-24, with a FY23-24 cash EPS of Rs 6.

    The OPM was recorded at 32.29% for Dec-24, slightly lower than 33.93% in Sep-24, while the NPM was at 22.86% in Dec-24, marginally down from 23.81% in Sep-December, 2024. The FY23-24 OPM and NPM were 28.53% and 19.93%, respectively.
