India and RCB star batter Virat Kohli broke his silence regarding the vicious Pahalgam terror attack, sharing his heartfelt condolences and prayers for all the affected families on Wednesday.
On April 22 (Tuesday), a devastating militant attack occurred in the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir.

At least 28 individuals (tourists) lost their lives, and over 20 others sustained injuries in what is considered the deadliest assault on civilians in the region since the 2019 Pulwama bombing.
The victims hailed from various Indian states, including Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, Haryana, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. Two foreign nationals from Nepal and the United Arab Emirates were also reportedly among those killed.
In the aftermath of the ‘heinous’ attack, Kohli took to social media to share his condolences and prayers for all those affected.
“Deeply saddened by the heinous attack in Pahalgam on innocent people," Kolhi wrote on his Instagram.
“Heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. Praying for peace and strength to families of all those who lost their lives and justice to be served for this cruel act," he signed off.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his Saudi Arabia tour to chair a meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other officials in light of the attack.
PM Modi said the perpetrators of “this heinous act will be brought to justice and will not be spared".
The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) co-founded by Hafiz Saeed, has claimed responsibility for the killing.
Modi was briefed by the officials immediately upon his return on Tuesday’s terror attack that has sparked outrage across the country and condemnation from world leaders.
The Jammu and Kashmir government announced ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh for those seriously injured, and Rs 1 lakh for those with minor injuries.
