After SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first, KKR bowlers bossed the game and virtually knocked the Orange Army out of the contest.

    FALL OF SRH WICKETS:

      1. 0.6 Overs – Mitchell Starc bowled a peach of a delivery and he slanted a ball in around the off-stump line after setting up Abhishek Sharma with balls swinging in. The wicket-taking delivery angled into him again but at the last moment, shaped up late as Abhishek squared up and the ball hit the off stump.
      2. 1.6 Overs – Travis Head was gone next, again for a duck as Vaibhav Arora bowled it with an upright seam and just outside off. Head stayed leg side and looked to get on his toes but ended up getting a feather after trying to feel for the ball. Rahmanullah Gurbaz took a good catch behind the stumps.
      3. 4.2 Overs – Mitchell Starc struck again, pitching the ball up and swung it away from off. Rahul Tripathi decided to have a swipe across the line but got a top edge. The ball is skied towards mid-wicket as Ramandeep Singh settled and took the catch confidently.
      4. 6.6 Overs – Harshit Rana removed Nitish Kumar Reddy with another ripper of a delivery. He set up the SRH all-rounder brilliantly as he kept bowling slower balls and then went for a fuller one on off stump. The ball swung away late after pitching as Nitish looked to drive straight through the line but was beaten by the late movement. The ball caught the outside edge before going straight into the mitts of Rahmanullah Gurbaz behind the stumps.
      5. 10.2 Overs – Andre Russell struck with the first ball in his first IPL final. The west Indian star struck as Aiden Markram ran out of patience. He bent his back and dug it in short as the SRH batter got on top of his toes and pull. The ball though came on a tad bit quicker than he had anticipated as Markram ended up hitting it straight to long on where Mitchell Starc took an easy catch.
      6. 11.5 Overs – Varun Chakaravarthy got in on the fun as he sent back Shahbaz Ahmed. The spinner bowled it fuller around off as the SRH got down on one knee and went for the sweep. He failed to roll his wrists on the ball and control the shot as he got a top edge. The ball lobbed tamely towards short fine leg as Sunil Narine ran a few steps back and took the catch easily.
      7. 12.4 Overs – Andre Russell dismissed Abdul Samad, the Impact Sub, next. The star all-rounder bowled it in the channel around off as the batter looked to drive it through the off side. He failed to get close to the pitch of the ball and ended up playing away from his body. The ball took an outside edge as Rahmanullah Gurbaz took the catch rather easily.
      8. 14.1 Overs – Harshit Rana returned to get the wicket of the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen. The pacer rolled his fingers over the ball as the SRH keeper looked to go back over the bowler’s head with mid-off inside the circle. The ball took the inside edge of the bat and rattled onto the stumps.
      9. 17.5 Overs – Sunil Narine also got his name in the wicket-takers column as Jaydev Unadkat’s stumps were hit but the bails did not fall. The KKR players got together and Shreyas Iyer opted to take the DRS. Reviews revealed that there was no bat involved and the ball would have gone on to hit the top of the stumps Ball Tracking confirmed three reds.
      10. 18.3 Overs – Andre Russell picked up his third wicket as he accounted for SRH skipper Pat Cummins. He pitched it up on the middle and leg stump as Cummins hung deep in his crease, cleared his front leg and looked to heave it away down the ground. Mitchell Starc at long on took the catch as SRH’s inning came to an end.
