Orange Cap in IPL 2025 (Most Runs): Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar scored half-centuries for Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Monday (April 7) to enter the list of top-10 run getters in IPL 2025. Virat opened the innings for the Bengaluru-based franchise and, with the help of 8 fours and 2 sixes, scored 67 runs from 42 balls. He added 91 runs for the second wicket with Devdutt Padikkal (37 runs from 22 balls) and, in the process, also became the first Indian cricketer to score 13,000 runs in T20s.
Patidar came out to bat at No. 4 for RCB and hammered 64 runs from 32 balls. The right-handed batter from Madhya Pradesh scored five fours and four sixes. The half-century on Monday was his second in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, and with a total of 161 runs to his name in four matches, he has moved to the No. 7 position. Kohli, on the other hand, is in 6th place with 164 runs in four matches.

For Mumbai Indians, Suryakumar Yadav scored 28 runs from 26 balls after coming out to bat at No. 4 in the 222-run chase. His 28-run knock helped him leapfrog GT’s Sai Sudharsan and move to the No. 2 position in the list of batters with the most runs in IPL 2025. Surya has 199 runs to his name in five IPL 2025 matches, whereas Sai has scored 191 runs in four matches.
Apart from Surya, Tilak Verma scored 56 runs from 29 balls, and Hardik Pandya hammered 42 runs from just 15 balls, but they failed to help MI avoid a defeat by 12 runs. The first half-century of IPL 2025 helped Tilak rise to the No. 10 position in the leading run-getters list. In five matches played so far for MI, he has scored 151 runs.
