IPL 2025: Riyan Parag Enters Esteemed List Of Young Skippers With Captain's Armband In Clash Against SRH
Parag became the fourth youngest skipper to lead a side out in the cash-rich T20 franchise league tournament at the age of 23 years and 133 days as he stepped in for full-time captain Sanju Samson during the side's IPL 2025 opener.

Rajasthan Royals batter Riyan Parag, who stepped into the role of the team’s skipper in the absence of full-time captain Sanju Samson during the IPL 2025 game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, entered a coveted list of youngest captains in the history of the tournament.
Parag was named to lead the side after Samson wasn’t cleared by the BCCI Centre of Excellence to keep wickets and could only make his foray into the game as an impact player.
