Is Glenn Phillips A Better Fielder Than Jonty Rhodes? Star Protea Fielder Answers
Glenn Phillips has left the cricketing world agape with his brilliant fielding efforts over the last few months, and his gymnastics were on display during the Champions Trophy.

Former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes, who is known as one of the best fielders that the cricketing world has ever seen, has finally replied to the currently raging debate about whether New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips is a better fielder than him.
Phillips has left the cricketing world agape with his brilliant fielding efforts over the last few months, and his gymnastics were on display during the Champions Trophy when he grabbed three brilliant catches to get rid of three star batters.

Phillips first caught Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan out in the opening game of the tournament, flying to his left to grab the ball, which would have otherwise run off for a boundary.
Phillips followed it up with a stunning catch, that of star India batter Virat Kohli, this time diving to his right and getting hold of the ball while in the air.
The star Kiwi cricketer topped it off with the catch of Shubman Gill in the final of the Champions Trophy. The latter had hit a shot which was going over Phillips’ head, but he jumped to perfection and got hold of the ball.
“Sorry @JontyRhodes8 we believe in Philips being the best fielder of this generation 🤗 #INDvNZ," a user tweeted on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, even at 55, Rhodes has shown why he is called one of the best fielders of the generation. He rolled back the years with a brilliant effort in the International Masters League.
Facing a thrashing from a dominant Aussie batting lineup, Rhodes grabbed the spotlight in a game where former all-rounder Shane Watson once again ran the show.
Watson, fresh off a hundred against India, repeated the feat against South Africa, powering his team to a huge total of 260.
On the third ball of the penultimate over, Watson hit a full-throttle drive down the ground, destined for a four.
In a flash, Rhodes ran to his right, covering a lot of ground before launching into a full-stretch dive. With brilliant timing, he stopped the ball and didn’t let it go through to the boundary ropes. Watch the video here:
