The ongoing season of the IPL has been a forgettable one for Shami so far. In eight matches for SRH he has only managed to take six wickets. He was dropped from the playing XI as well for the last match against the Mumbai Indians, which SRH lost by 7 wickets in front of home fans at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
During SRH’s sixth league match played against Punjab Kings in Hyderabad on April 12, Shami conceded 75 runs in his quota of four overs, which entered his name in a forgetful list. After finishing with figures of 0 for 75 in four overs, Shami now holds the record for worst bowling figures in the IPL by an Indian bowler and second overall in the world’s richest franchise cricket league.
