Rohit Sharma Joins Virat Kohli In Elite Run-Scoring List In T20s, Becomes Second Indian Batter To...
Rohit Sharma now becomes the second Indian batter to score 12000 runs in T20 matches, joining the likes of Virat Kohli.

Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma has joined the legendary Virat Kohli to become the second Indian batter to score 12000 runs in T20 games. He achieved this feat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday.
Rohit now joins the likes of Virat Kohli, David Warner, Chris Gayle and a few others to be amongst the rare few batters to have scored 12000 runs in the shortest format. A big chunk of his runs have come through the IPL, where he represented the Deccan Chargers briefly, followed by his move to the Mumbai Indians in 2011.

After having a lean patch through the first few games of the season, Rohit seems to have rediscovered his best form as he continues to go on a run-scoring spree at a quick rate in Mumbai Indians’ batting innings.
He now opts to go hard in the powerplay and play the role of the aggressor to give MI the perfect start needed, albeit it hasn’t always gone his way in the ongoing season.

SRH were far from their best in the batting front as a top-order batting collapse to 35/5, it took Heinrich Klaasen’s knock to see SRH avoid a complete blowout.
Klaasen struck nine fours and two sixes for his 44-ball 71, putting on 99 for the sixth wicket with impact substitute Abhinav Manohar, who played a steady second fiddle with his 37-ball 43 (2x4s, 3x6s).
But it was a harrowing start for SRH who are placed second-last on the points table and face an uphill battle to keep themselves alive.
The lack of confidence was evident when SRH’s top-order crumbled without any apparent pressure on a dry, hard and flat deck.
Klaasen did not get much assistance from the other end as Manohar, sent as an impact substitute, crawled to one off seven balls before his first big hit.
Klaasen’s resistance ended in the penultimate over when Jasprit Bumrah (1/39) had him caught by Tilak Varma for his 300th T20 wicket, while Manohar fell to Boult in the last.
