Australia all out for 265
In the first semifinal, Australian skipper Steve Smith won the toss and opted to bat first, after which, riding on his 73 from 96 balls and Alex Carey’s 61 off 57 balls, the six-time ODI World Cup winners posted a total of 264 runs on the board for the loss of 10 wickets in 49.3 overs.
For India, Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets for 48 runs in his quota of 10 overs, and two Australian batters each were sent back to the pavilion by Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakaravarthy.
Chakaravarthy, who was playing against Australia for the first time in international cricket, removed dangerman Travis Head on the second ball of his first over. Head was caught by Shubman Gill, but before returning to the pavilion, he scored 39 runs from 33 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes.

The winner of the ongoing match in Dubai will face the winner of the second semifinal between New Zealand and South Africa on Sunday (March 9).
