Ravindra Jadeja appears to have blended into the Tamil culture, thanks to his decade-long spell with Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The spin-bowling all-rounder demonstrated his connection with the Tamil community in a recent practice session at Chepuak.
In a video shared by CSK on social media, Jadeja was spotted learning some Tamil words from local boy Andre Siddarth. The 36-year-old urged one of his teammates to pass him a bottle of water. He conveyed the message in Tamil, saying, “Thanni kudumaa," which translates to – “Will I get water?"
As he was not quite confident about his knowledge of the Tamil language, Jadeja asked Siddarth if he chose the correct words. In response, the 18-year-old positively nodded his head. CSK shared the footage on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption– “When at home…Learn Tamil the Thalapathy way!"

Jadeja put up a gritty performance with the bat in the last game against Rajasthan Royals. The visitors batted first at Chepauk and set a target of 183 runs. Jadeja bowled two overs and took one wicket for 10 runs. Khaleel Ahmed, Matheesha Pathirana and Noor Ahmad each picked two scalps.
CSK made a disastrous start to the chase, with Rachin Ravindra returning to the pavilion with a four-ball duck. The other opener, Rahul Tripathi, scored 23 before losing his wicket to Wanindu Hasaranga. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad emerged as the standout batter for CSK. Coming at No. 3, the right-hander smashed 63 runs off 45 deliveries but failed to survive till the end.
Jadeja, who followed Vijay Shankar in the batting order, remained unbeaten at 32. The southpaw stitched a 25-run partnership with MS Dhoni but their efforts went in vain. CSK ultimately fell six runs short of the required total to endure the second defeat of this season.
The five-time IPL champions have not been at their best this season. They have managed one win in three matches and remain seventh in the points table. CSK will be keen to bounce back when they face Delhi Capitals on April 5 at home.
