The TN player was picked up by Indian Premier League side Gujarat Titans for a sum of Rs 3.2 Crore ahead of the 2025 season, demonstrating immense faith in the abilities of the all-rounder to make a difference in the money-rich T20 franchise league, slated to get underway on the 22nd of March with holders Kolkata Knight Riders taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens in a replay of the very first game of the tournament all the way back in 2008 during its inaugural edition of the competition.

Gujarat Titans, who clinched the coveted IPL in their debut season in 2022 and went on to mount a hearty title defence the following year before stumbling in the final hurdle to MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, will look to work towards their second crown in the upcoming season under the leadership of young Indian opener Shubman Gill. GT would hope Sundar’s addition would help them in their title aspirations when they get their campaign underway on the 25th of March at home against Punjab Kings.
