Just when Pakistan looked like they were mounting a resistance against the Indian bowling attack. Kuldeep nipped that right at the bud, removing Salman for 19 and Shaheen for a first-ball duck respectively.
In the first wicket, Salman looked to attack the spinner but played it completely wrong, sending it high up for Ravindra Jadeja to take the catch without any difficulty at the point region. Shaheen was left bamboozled by the googly which hit the pads for a leg-before wicket. Despite the ball evidently being in line to hit the stumps, Pakistan also managed to waste a DRS review in the process.
Kuldeep struck later on to get his third wicket of the innings as well. He removed Naseem Shah for 14 off 16 balls, being India’s top bowler for the game. He also crossed the 300 ODI wickets milestone in the process, cementing his legacy as a great in the limited overs setup.

The Men in Blue have been dominant in the marquee contest in the first innings while Pakistan have been disappointing yet again. The Rizwan-led side looks like they would be bundled for less than 250. The game is a must-win one for Pakistan whose survival in the tournament is at stake. For India, a chance to secure their spot in the knockout stages hangs in the balance.
Pakistan were bundled out for 241 in the first innings with Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya leading the Indian charge in the first innings. Now the onus remains on Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill to give them the perfect start to their chase to go all the way for the win.
