Watch: Shadab Khan Reveals How Fakhar Zaman’s Dream Predicted Pakistan's Decisive Moment In CT 2017 Final
Shadab Khan recalls Fakhar Zaman's dream prediction before the 2017 Champions Trophy final against India, leading to Pakistan's dominant win.

With the Champions Trophy approaching, Pakistan’s all-rounder Shadab Khan recalled how his fellow teammate, Fakhar Zaman had predicted a decisive moment in the iconic final against India in 2013 where the side led by Sarfaraz Ahmed went on to win the title by beating their arch-rivals in dominant fashion.
In a video interview uploaded by the International Cricket Council on Instagram, Shadab opened up on what Fakhar had told him on match day. The left-handed opening batter had opened up about a dream he had where he would get dismissed on a no-ball.

“Before the final, me, Fakhar (Zaman) and one of the other guys, all went shopping and Fakhar was saying that he was not feeling well. On the game day, he came and he said, he had a dream that he would get out on a no-ball. I said that’s amazing and he did get out on a no-ball and go on to score a century. It was amazing," Shadab shared in the interview shared on Instagram.

Fakhar’s dream had indeed become reality as he had edged one off Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery to the wicketkeeper, but the umpire had revealed that the pacer had overstepped. The opening batter had made the most out of his opportunity as he went on to smash 114 off 106 deliveries to help Pakistan set a commanding target of 339.
His immense knock with the bat was then followed by Mohammed Amir’s beautiful spell where he cleaned up the star-studded Indian top-order which had Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in the first 10 overs of the second innings to help set the platform for Pakistan to go on and bundle out their rivals for just 158 runs.
A collective effort from Pakistan saw them win the previous edition of the Champions Trophy in 2017. The defending champions will now be keen on continuing to follow up with these performances as they are set to host the tournament which makes its return in February. India on the other hand would play all of their games, including the knockouts in the United Arab Emirates. Nonetheless, Pakistan would be excited to deliver its best performances to redeem itself as a top cricketing nation.
