Kabir Singh Suryawanshi was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. He was among the highest scorers with 96 per cent marks in CBSE board results 2022. He took the examinations under the general category and studied in a mainstream school, Ridge Valley. Hailing from Nagla Raghu village in Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh, Aditi Singh has scored 99.25 per cent in CBSE class 12 board results 2023. “I followed a strict routine that involved waking up at 5:30 AM and attending school from 7:30 AM until 1:45 PM,” said the 17-year-old. Aditi’s father Rajpal Singh is a farmer, and her mother Geeta Devi looks after the domestic chores.

Union Education Minster Dharmendra Pradhan had said that CBSE can become an international board in the global South due to its growing popularity. “While CBSE schools in Singapore are for the diaspora, I was surprised to learn about the popularity of the CBSE board and pedagogy in Japan. I was told that mathematics and other subjects’ pedagogy is sought after,” he added.

Kanika Kaushik, who hails from a very small town Nathauri, in Saharanpur, UP told News18.com that she made sure to revise everything that she learned at school on the same day. Most students study really hard just right before the exams and she did not do that and would not suggest the same to others as it is unhealthy, she said. If one regularly revises their classes and is consistent at it, the last-minute stress is less and the preparation is also easy, she added.

Hailing from Uttar Pradesh’s village Shahranpur, Happy Kumar who scored 99.2% in the CBSE class 12 result 2021 said he depended heavily on the video-based platform YouTube which allows flexibility of studying as per choice. He obtained a total of 496 marks out of 500. Happy told News18.com that he received 100 marks in chemistry, math, and information practice (IP). In physics and English, he received 98 marks, each.

Once the result is released, applicants can check their class 10 compartment examination marks on the official CBSE websites — cbseresults.nic.in, or cbse.gov.in.

As per the passing criteria for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2023, a student must secure a minimum of 26 marks out of 80 to pass the theory examination of particular subjects. Along with this, the student must secure 33 per cent in each subject to pass the examination. This applies for compartment exam too.

CBSE has decided not to publish a merit list to avoid unhealthy rivalry among students. Merit certificates are to 0.1% of students who received the highest scores across all disciplines.

Students can check the compartment results on the official websites of CBSE- results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. The results will also be made available to the students through alternative methods as well. Students who do not have access to the internet can check their scorecards via Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and SMS.

The Department of School Education and Literacy (DSEL), Karnataka, had earlier issued notice to at least 700 schools that have illegally claimed affiliation with CBSE. Over 600 of these private schools are located in Bengaluru.

CBSE will implement the National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage (NCFFS) 2022 from the academic session 2023-24. The board said that it is adopting the NCFFS 2022 and the new structure of five-year education at the foundational stage (which is from Nursery to Class 2) from the 2023-24 session. The new curriculum will be adopted in CBSE-affiliated schools which offer education at the foundational stage, especially to students in the age group of 3 to 8 years.

In 2022, as many as 94.40% of students cleared the exam. This year, 93.12% of students passed. This is, however, a decline of 1.28% from last year.
