“Among the three sections, Physics was the easiest, Mathematics was of moderate difficulty, and Chemistry was the most challenging due to its emphasis on direct NCERT chart-based questions. While the distribution of questions across topics was generally balanced, some chapters were more prominent, whereas others were entirely absent," Ajay Sharma, National Academic Director, Engineering Aakash Educational Services Limited said.

Most students found the Physics section the easiest. A majority of the questions were numerical with fewer questions from Modern Physics and Magnetism and no questions asked from the EMI and AC chapters. Mathematics was moderately difficulty, with well-distributed questions across most chapters. “The difficulty level was not excessively high, and unlike Session 1, this section was not as time-consuming, allowing students to solve questions more efficiently," Sharma added.

The Chemistry section was the most difficult but “served as a time-saver." According to Sharma, ‘data-based questions proved challenging, as much of the information was difficult to recall."

The second shift will be held from 3 PM to 6 PM.  JEE Main Session 2 exam will go on till April 9, 2025. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) will be conducted till April 7, while Paper 2 (B.Arch & B.Planning) will take place on April 8 and 9.
