IIT Palakkad Summer Internship

    Students pursuing degrees in the humanities, sciences, and engineering can participate in a six-week residential summer internship at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad. This programme is primarily aimed at undergraduate students in their third and fourth years. Interns engage in practical research using a variety of hardware and software analysis tools. A stipend of ₹12,000 is provided, ensuring financial support during the internship.

    National Renewable Energy Internship Programme

    Students from various disciplines, including engineering, science, management, and law, are eligible to apply for this internship through the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). According to MNRE’s guidelines, the programme is offered twice a year and lasts between two and six months. For physical internships, trainees receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000, providing financial assistance while they contribute to renewable energy projects.

    Digital India Internship Scheme

    The Digital India Internship Scheme was launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and is available to Indian students who have secured at least 60% in their most recent examinations and are pursuing degrees in engineering, master’s, or law. Subject to satisfactory performance, the internship provides a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 and lasts between two and three months. This programme enables students to work on projects that are crucial to India’s digital transformation.

    WSAI IITM Summer Internship

    For pre-final-year undergraduate and first-year postgraduate students in science and engineering, the Wadhwani School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (WSAI) at IIT Madras offers an in-person summer internship. Interns work on advanced data science and artificial intelligence projects for a duration of three to six months. A stipend is provided to support interns throughout the programme.

    NIELIT Internship Training

    Students pursuing engineering and polytechnic diplomas can enrol in a two-week internship programme at the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Daman. Up to three batches can be conducted simultaneously, with each batch accommodating 30 students. Although no stipend is offered, this internship provides extensive hands-on training in various technical fields, significantly enhancing participants’ practical skills.
