Celebrity Masterchef Promo: Faisal Shaikh Reflects On Childhood Memories While Preparing A Dish
In a new promo of Celebrity Masterchef, Faisal Shaikh walked down his memory lane while cooking a special dish and prompting Farah Khan to playfully ask a question about his stardom.
Celebrity Masterchef, an upcoming cooking reality show, is constantly generating enthusiasm among viewers by dropping one after another promo videos. With a promise of entertaining audiences to their core, celebrities are also seen showcasing their culinary skills. Recently, the makers of the show posted another video on the official Instagram handle of Sony TV, featuring Faisal Shaikh on the sets of Celebrity Masterchef alongside judges Vikas Khanna and Farah Khan.
At the beginning of the video, Vikas Khanna revealed that they would revisit Faisal Shaikh, aka Mr Faisu’s childhood memories, through a special dish. He said, “Aaj hum dish ke dyara hum aapke bachpan ki gaaliyon mein jaa rahe hai (Today we are going to the streets of your childhood through this dish)," and the video’s scenes change to the place where the actor has grown up. He can be seen visiting the place to meet and greet his acquaintances over there and sharing some candid moments with them.

Afterwards, Farah Khan asked Faisu what dish he had prepared on the show. He revealed the name of the dish – “Dabba gosht pury," and as he was about to explain its ingredients and other process, the filmmaker was seen completely surprised. Vikas then asked him about the dish’s significance in his life. “Yeh dabba gosht ka kya significance hai aapke life mein (What is the significance of this Dabba Gosht in your life?)," the celebrity chef quizzed.
Recollecting his childhood memories, Faisu shared, “Dabba gosht se meri bohot saari memories hai. 2008 se 2015 tak mene Dabba gosht mere dosto ke sath, family ke sath bohot khaya hai (I have many memories attached to Dabba gosht. From 2008 to 2015, I used to eat this dish a lot with my friends and family)."
The Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 fame added, “But aaj agar mei kahi ache restaurant mei jaake Dabba gosht khata hu toh muje voh taste nahi milta joh maine pehle khaya tha. Toh vohi thought rakhte hue maine ye innovation kiya hai. Woh dabba gosht proper ek gravy aur saarein cheezo ke saath (But now, if I eat in restaurants, I don’t get that taste. So because of that, I have done this innovation. That Dabba gosht with proper gravy and rest other ingredients)."
In another segment of the video, Farah was seen showing a young picture of Faisu to him. While doing this, she asked, “Tuje laga tha yaha se yaha tak pochoge kabhi? (Did you ever think that you will reach here someday?). Faisu denied it and claimed, “Laga nhi tha isiliye toh yahape hum (I didn’t think so, that’s why I am here). Farah then quipped, “But tereko maza aa raha hai (But you are enjoying here). What I like is – he is enjoying here," while concluding the clip.
Celebrity MasterChef will soon begin premiering on Sony TV. It is judged by Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna and Farah Khan, and besides Faisal Shaikh, celebrities like Dipika Kakkar, Tejasswi Prakash, Rubina Dilaik, Rahul Vaidya, Gaurav Khanna and others are also part of the show.
