Are You A Student Staying On Rent? Rajasthan Govt Will Pay You Rs 2,000 Per Month
This year, a total of 5,500 students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, and minority categories of Rajasthan will benefit from the Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme, receiving Rs 2,000 per month for ten months

Many students in India relocate to different cities for educational pursuits, often finding themselves living away from home. These students frequently rent accommodation, sometimes even in a different state. Recognising this, the Rajasthan government is now offering a special benefit tailored to these students.
The state government has promised to provide Rs 20,000 a year to students studying in other cities away from home and living in rented accommodation. The application process for this scheme has already begun. Students enrolled in the academic year 2024-25 who are living in other states for their studies are eligible to apply.

Applications under this scheme will be accepted till November 30. This year, a total of 5,500 students will benefit from this scheme. They will receive an amount of Rs 2,000 every month for ten months.
Students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, and minority categories of the state can avail the benefits of the “Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme" launched by the Rajasthan government. Students pursuing graduation or post-graduation from government colleges located in district headquarters of the state are eligible. Students residing on rented accommodation away from home for their studies will be given preference under this scheme.
An online portal has been launched for this purpose. Students can apply through their SSO ID on e-Mitra. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the students need to be a resident of Rajasthan. Additionally, if the student is studying in the same city where their parents own a house, they will not be eligible for this scheme.
