Bengaluru Woman Dies By Suicide After Being 'Stripped' By Police, Leaves Death Note
The Bengaluru woman left a death note alleging that she was stripped by the police during interrogation.
A 33-year-old Bengaluru businesswoman was found dead at her residence with an 11-page death note alleging that a senior police officer stripped her and demanded a bribe of Rs 25 lakh, according to media reports.
The deceased woman was identified as S Jeeva who was allegedly abetted to suicide by Bengaluru Deputy Superintendent of Police Kanakalakshmi against whom the police have registered a case under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 besides relevant sections of the BNS.

Woman Leaves Behind Death Note
Leaving a death note behind her, she accused the police official of harassing her. Jeeva was a lawyer by profession and also ran a wood material shop in Bengaluru. She died by suicide on November 22 after which her sister Sangeeta registered a complaint with the police alleging that the DSP was behind it.
Jeeva was one of the accused in the alleged Karnataka Bhovi Development Corporation scam as a supplier of items. The Karnataka High Court had reportedly permitted the CID to quiz Jeeva online between November 14 and 23. However, CID reportedly asked her to make physical appearance.
Jeeva Appears Before CID
The businesswoman appeared before the CID on November 14 where she was allegedly harassed, and stripped, according to reports.
She was demanded Rs 25 lakh bribe by the DSP who refused to accept her documents, according to the death note.
According to the FIR, the DSP visited her shop and humiliated her in front of her employees.
