A shocking incident has come to light from Gujarat’s Jamnagar district, where a married woman from Sumra village died by suicide along with her four children by jumping into a well. The children were aged between 3 and 10 years. The incident has sent shockwaves across the village.
Upon receiving the information, a team from Dhrol police station immediately reached the scene, recovered the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem while initiating further investigation.

The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Bhanuben Jivabhai Toriya, a resident of Sumra village in Dhrol taluka.
According to initial reports, she jumped into a well near her house, taking her four children along, allegedly due to household distress. The children have been identified as Ayush Jivabhai Toriya (10), Anjuben Toriya (8), Anandi Toriya (4), and Ritwik Toriya (3).
The mass suicide of five members from the same family has cast a pall of gloom over the entire village. Locals rushed to the spot and helped retrieve the bodies from the well one by one. The police then shifted all five bodies to Dhrol Government Hospital for post-mortem.
