Ram Mandir Chief Priest Acharya Satyendra Das' Mortal Remains Brought To Ayodhya Before Last Rites
Chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Acharya Satyendra Das, died at 85 in Lucknow hospital, days after suffering a brain stroke.

Chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Acharya Satyendra Das, passed away at a Lucknow hospital on Wednesday, days after suffering a brain stroke. His mortal remains were brought to his residence in Ayodhya before the last rites.
The priest was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) after he suffered a brain stroke on February 2.

According to the doctors, he was diabetic and hypertensive. After suffering the stroke, he was admitted to a hospital in Ayodhya on Sunday. He was referred to the Trauma Centre and then to Lucknow SGPGI.
Acharya Satyendra Das was the chief priest of Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya since 1993.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences on his passing and prayed for the departed soul.
“The demise of Acharya Shri Satyendra Kumar Das Ji Maharaj, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Shri Ayodhya Dham, is extremely sad and an irreparable loss to the social and spiritual world. Humble tribute to him! I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed soul at His divine feet and give strength to the bereaved disciples and followers to bear this immense sorrow. Om Shanti!" Yogi said on X.
