Pramath Raj Sinha, Founder and Trustee of Ashoka University and Founding Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB), will be among the star-studded list of speakers at the Rising Bharat Summit 2025, the fifth edition of the CNN-News18 marquee leadership conclave, to be held in New Delhi on 8–9 April.
Sinha, a distinguished figure in Indian higher education, has been instrumental in establishing several premier institutions. In addition to his work at ISB and Ashoka, Sinha has founded several pathbreaking initiatives, including Harappa Education, an online learning platform focused on workplace and leadership skills, and the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women, designed to boost women’s participation in the workforce. He is also the Founder of the 9.9 Group, a diversified media and education consulting company.

Academically, he holds a Ph.D. and MSE from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur, where he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2018. Sinha’s contributions to education and leadership development have been recognised widely, including by Thinkers50, which listed him among India’s top 50 management thinkers, and FICCI, which named him ‘Personality of the Year’ in 2015.
Sinha has also authored books such as An Idea Whose Time Has Come and Learn, Don’t Study, reflecting his commitment to transforming education.
