Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is all set to make a comeback into Bollywood with Vaani Kapoor with their upcoming rom-com Abir Gulaal, slated to release on May 9, 2025!
Fans of Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan were thrilled after his Bollywood comeback film with Vaani Kapoor, titled ‘Abir Gulaal’ was officially announced last year. Now, the makers have finally unveiled the highly-anticipated teaser of the film, while also confirming that it will release in theatres on 9th May, 2025. The teaser shows Fawad serenading Vaani with the iconic Bollywood song ‘Kuch Na Kaho’. The little glimpse of Fawad and Vaani’s on-screen chemistry left fans super-excited for the film!
On Tuesday, the makers of Abir Gulaal released the teaser featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor. It shows Fawad and Vaani sitting inside a car while it rains heavily outside. Fawad sings Kumar Sanu’s song ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ from the film 1942 A Love Story, while Vaani is seated in the passenger seat. Mesmerized by his voice, she asks him, “Abir Singh. Flirt kar rahe ho?" Fawad looks into her eyes, and asks, “Do you want me to?" Their undeniable chemistry has left fans absolutely spellbound, igniting massive excitement for Abir Gulaal.

Abir Gulaal is directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, known for her poignant storytelling in Chalti Rahe Zindagi. She teams up with producers Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures to bring this cross-cultural tale to life. Filming, which began in late September 2024, unfolded across picturesque locales in and around London and concluded a 40-day schedule in the British capital.
After memorable performances in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Kapoor & Sons, Fawad steps into the role of a UK-based chef, adding another layer of charm to his repertoire. Paired with Vaani Kapoor, known for her elegance and strong screen presence, the film promises a magnetic on-screen chemistry that is sure to leave audiences spellbound. The duo is joined by Lisa Haydon in a supporting role, adding further intrigue to the ensemble.
