Adil Hussain Calls Pahalgam Attack ‘Unacceptable’, Recalls Visiting With Family: ‘Could Have Been Us’

Adil Hussain has expressed deep anguish over the recent attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. He called the incident “unacceptable" and also recalled visiting the same area with his family last summer. The brutal killing of innocent civilians has shaken the nation, and many celebrities have condemned the attack.
Taking to his X handle, Adil wrote, “Absolutely Devasted by the Brutal Killings of people in Kashmir. Unacceptable. I was there last summer with my wife and our Child. Exactly in that area! Could have been us. We must find ways to stop this Atrocities. Must find a long term solution…it is going on for a long time now…" Earlier, Anushka Sharma also reacted and wrote that she is heartbroken over the incident. She wrote, “Heartbroken to hear about the cold-blooded terror attack on innocent people in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Heartfelt, prayers and condolences to their families. This is a heinous attack that will never be forgotten."

Rashmika Mandanna shared a screenshot of the news on her Instagram stories and wrote, “It breaks my heart." Ram Charan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Shocked and saddened by the terror attack in Pahalgam. Such incidents have no place in our society and should be strongly condemned. My prayers are with the families of those affected."
On April 22, 2025, a horrific mass shooting unfolded at the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam in Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir. Dubbed the Pahalgam Massacre of Hindu Tourists, the attack saw militants linked to The Resistance Front (TRF) open fire on a group of Hindu tourists. At least 28 people were killed, and over 20 others were injured in the deadly assault.
Reacting to the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X, “I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected."
“Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice…they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable, and it will get even stronger," he added.
