Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn turned a year older today, April 2, and fans and industry friends are showering the Singham star with love. Among them was his Raid 2 co-star Riteish Deshmukh who shared a heartfelt post on social media. He posted a throwback picture of the two sitting together, both flashing big smiles.
Alongside the picture, Riteish shared a heartwarming message, writing, “My dearest friend, brother and a fabulous costar – Aj … I wish you a life filled with love, great health and prosperity- Happy Birthday have a stupendous one…"

As for Raid 2, the sequel is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and the script is written by Ritesh Shah, Karan Vyas and Jaideep Yadav. It follows IRS officer Amay Patnaik, portrayed by Ajay, as he carries out his 75th raid against a powerful tycoon named Dada Bhai, played by Riteish. The recently released teaser shows an intense face-off between Ajay’s determined officer and Riteish’s corrupt politician.
Before the teaser release, Ajay had shared the first-look poster of Riteish from the film on Instagram. In the poster, Riteish stands in the middle of a crowd, wearing a kurta and jacket, holding his hand high with a stern expression. Sharing the poster, Ajay wrote, “Kanoon ka mohtaj nahi, kanoon ka malik hai Dada Bhai!"
Raid 2 also stars Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Amit Sial and Yashpal Sharma. Saurabh Shukla will reprise his role as Rameshwar Rajaji Singh in the sequel. The film was initially set to release on November 15, 2024 but it was postponed. It will now hit theatres on May 1 aligning with International Labour Day and Maharashtra Day.
Besides Raid 2, Ajay will be seen in Son of Sardaar 2, a sequel to the 2012 film. Riteish, on the other hand, will feature in the much-awaited comedy Housefull 5. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri and more. It is set to make its theatrical debut on June 6.
