Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 To Feature Tamannaah Bhatia And Yo Yo Honey Singh In Special Item Number: Report
Ajay Devgn returns as IRS officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2, and the makers are turning up the heat with a special post-credits song featuring Tamannaah Bhatia and Yo Yo Honey Singh.
After delivering what was dubbed one of the most intense cinematic raids in Indian film history with Raid (2018), Ajay Devgn is all set to reprise his role as the no-nonsense IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the upcoming sequel, Raid 2. The teaser, unveiled last week, generated major buzz online, setting the stage for a gripping follow-up packed with high-stakes drama and corporate crime.
Now, to add even more fuel to the excitement ahead of its May 1 theatrical release, the makers are spicing things up with a special promotional number. As per Peepingmoon.com, Tamannaah Bhatia has been signed for a high-energy dance track alongside rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh. The song, choreographed by Vijay Ganguly (the name behind Tamannaah’s recent hit “Aaj Ki Raat" from Stree 2), is set to be filmed over two days this week at a Mumbai studio.

Unlike traditional item numbers that are woven into the plot, this song will serve as a standalone post-credits attraction. While Ajay and Tamannaah won’t share screen space in this track, the duo is already working together on Ranger, directed by Mission Mangal’s Jagan Shakti—marking their second collaboration after Himmatwala (2013). Tamannaah is expected to join the sets of Ranger once filming for this number wraps.
Raid 2, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and written by a powerhouse team including Ritesh Shah, Karan Vyas, and Jaideep Yadav, promises to raise the stakes. The sequel follows Amay Patnaik’s 75th raid—this time against a powerful tycoon named Dada Bhai, played by Riteish Deshmukh. The film also features Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Amit Sial, and Yashpal Sharma. Fan-favorite Saurabh Shukla reprises his role as Tauji, the fearsome don from Sitagarh.
Backed by Panorama Studios and T-Series, Raid 2 is set to hit cinemas on May 1, 2025—aligning with International Labour Day and Maharashtra Day, and primed to deliver a big-screen spectacle.
