The Showsha Reel Awards 2025 in Mumbai on March 20 honoured films and celebrities based on the impact they left in viewers’ hearts. Among the films that won the maximum awards was Girls Will Be Girls, produced by Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha. The film features debutants Preeti Panigrahi and Kesav Binoy Kiron alongside Kani Kusruti in the lead roles. Reacting to his big win, Ali recently dropped a post on Instagram, encapsulating his joy and pride upon receiving the honour.

Girls Will Be Girls won the best film jury award at News18 Showsha Reel Awards. The coming-of-age drama marks the debut of Richa and Ali as producers under their banner Pushing Buttons Studios. Ali, on the other hand, is geared up for the release of his upcoming drama Metro…In Dino, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta in lead roles.
