Alia Bhatt Takes A Dig At Trolls For Viral 'Wipe That Off' Lipstick Video: 'That's So Weird'

Alia Bhatt’s lipstick application technique went viral when the actress posted a video in 2023. The actress revealed in a Vogue India video that she has an unconventional lipstick application method. While the unique style grabbed attention, she was massively trolled on social media. Now, in a new video with Chandni Bhabhda, her mimic, Alia took a jibe at the trolls.
Alia and Chandni collaborated for a makeup ad where the social media personality mimicked the actress in her signature avatar. They followed Alia’s makeup routine, and when it came to lipstick application, the actress told Chandni, “Now, abhi lipstick kaise lagate ho, let’s see that."

Chandni recreated Alia’s viral moment and said, “I like to put my mouth to my lipstick." Alia Bhatt said, “That’s so weird." As Chandni applied the lipstick in Alia’s style, the actress said, “Then you dab it off, nice."
For the unversed, Alia had said in the Vogue India video, “The way I apply my lipstick is not considered [normal]. It’s a bit weird (moving her mouth across it to apply colour to her lips). The reason I do this, I’ll tell you why, is because a lot of time after eating, I touch up my lipstick, I don’t know, I think something about moving the lipstick across my mouth is just way more tedious as opposed to moving my mouth across the lipstick…"
She added, “I thought that was just something that I worked out for myself, and then I rub it off. Because one thing my husband, when he wasn’t my husband, when he was my boyfriend as well, says when we used to go out at night, he used to say ‘Wipe that [lipstick] off. Wipe that off’. Because he loves the natural colour of my lip." Both Alia and Ranbir were immensely trolled after the video went viral.
