Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to dominate, now making waves on Netflix after a stellar box office run. Directed by Sukumar, the action-packed blockbuster has secured a spot on Netflix’s global list of most-watched non-English films for the second week in a row. The film premiered on the platform on January 30, just two months after its theatrical release and remains the only Indian film in the top rankings for the week ending February 9.

In its second week, Pushpa 2 racked up 13.6 million watch hours and 3.6 million views, earning the third spot on the global list. The previous week saw the film in the second position for the week ending February 2, achieving this milestone within just four days of its digital release.

    The film’s popularity extends worldwide, topping most-watched lists in seven countries and breaking into the top 10 in 15 nations during its debut week. In its first seven days alone, Pushpa 2 garnered 5.8 million views and 21.8 million watch hours, cementing its place as a global streaming sensation.

    Released in theatres on December 5, 2024, the film was a box office sensation, grossing over Rs 1,831 crore worldwide. To surprise fans, the makers re-released the movie with 23 minutes of additional footage. This extended version, Pushpa 2: The Rule – Reloaded Version, was initially planned for January 14 but hit theatres on January 17. This version is available on Netflix which has a total runtime of 3 hours and 44 minutes.

    Pushpa 2: The Rule continues the journey of Pushpa Raj who rises from a daily wage labourer to become the leader of a powerful red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. Allu Arjun delivers a strong performance as Pushpa supported by Rashmika Mandanna as his wife, Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil plays Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, a disgraced cop determined to bring Pushpa down. The film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Rao Ramesh. The film concludes with a sneak peek into the next chapter, Pushpa 3: The Rampage.

    During its opening weekend, Pushpa 2: The Rule secured a spot among the top five highest-scoring movies worldwide, according to Comscore, a global media analytics firm, for the week ending December 8. The film’s strong performance didn’t stop there as in its second weekend, it continued to hold its position in the top five.
