Blake Lively's Sunday Was All About Baking Doughnuts
Blake Lively was reportedly in an exceptionally cheerful mood as she greeted customers, handed out fresh doughnuts and soaked in the joy of the moment on Sunday.

Blake Lively, known for her role in Gossip Girl, had fans buzzing when she made an unexpected appearance at a doughnut shop in Connecticut. But this wasn’t just any visit – it was a Sunday spent baking, which, as she revealed, is her “happy place." The actress surprised everyone by getting her hands dirty behind the counter at Rise Doughnuts, working alongside the talented team she’s become close friends with. “Baking with genius food friends and their kitchen mixer the size of a car," she shared on her Instagram Story, adding, “This is what my happy place looks like."
Blake, 37, has built a friendly relationship with the bakery’s owners, Laura Malone and Hugh Mangum. A source close to the star revealed she was in an exceptionally cheerful mood as she greeted customers, handed out fresh doughnuts and soaked in the joy of the moment.

Wearing a black tank top paired with a striped apron, Blake seemed right at home, glazing doughnuts and taking the time to interact with the shop’s visitors. The actress’s older sister, Robyn Lively, was spotted in a photo shared by People, though it wasn’t clear if Blake’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, joined the outing.

According to Page Six, Rise Doughnuts happens to be just a short drive from the Lively-Reynolds family estate near the New York-Connecticut border, which is where the couple has been spending a lot of their time lately. Country life has provided a respite from the public eye, especially with Blake currently embroiled in a very public legal dispute with her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni.
Their feud has been ongoing since December, when Blake accused Baldoni, along with producer Jamey Heath and executives at Wayfarer Studios, of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. Baldoni responded by filing a defamation and extortion lawsuit, not just against Blake, but also her husband Ryan and their PR team.
In turn, the Lively-Reynolds duo reportedly sought to have Baldoni’s “vengeful and rambling" lawsuit dismissed, arguing that their actions were protected free speech. But Baldoni’s attorney did not hold back, calling their response “cowardly" and accusing them of trying to manipulate the legal system.
With all this drama, it’s no surprise Blake took refuge in her beloved doughnut shop. The ongoing court battle between her and Baldoni is set to head to trial in March 2026. Until then, it seems Blake is finding comfort in a kitchen full of flour, sugar and a whole lot of doughnuts.
