Congratulatory messages and praises are still coming in for Team India following their triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. While supporters and fans across the country celebrated India’s victory like a festival, Bollywood celebs also shared similar sentiments across social media platforms. Likewise, actor Suniel Shetty also couldn’t help but gush about the proud moment. In a conversation with the paparazzi, the Hera Pheri actor shared his thoughts about the achievement, further giving a special shoutout to Shreyas Iyer.

As the paparazzi mentioned India’s win in the tournament, further praising the actor’s son-in-law, cricketer KL Rahul, for his performance, Suniel Shetty expressed his gratitude and said, “It’s God’s blessings. Shreyas has played so well. But everyone must play together."

    For those unaware, Shreyas Iyer made a significant contribution to India’s victory in the Champions Trophy, scoring 243 runs in five innings. Before this, Suniel Shetty shared a series of posts celebrating India’s win. Posting the group picture of the entire team, he wrote, “CHAMPIONS ONCE AGAIN!

    He also dedicated a separate post for KL Rahul with a picture of his son-in-law. “INDIA’S WISH !!!! Rahul’s COMMAND," the caption read. On the other hand, Athiya Shetty, who is expecting her first child with the cricketer, also shared an Instagram story, showing her standing in front of a TV screen watching her husband celebrate India’s victory.

    On the work front, Suniel Shetty was most recently seen in Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut film Nadaaniyan, also featuring Khushi Kapoor, Dia Mirza, and Mahima Chaudhary among others. Following its OTT release, the film has though received a lukewarm response from fans, with many criticising Ibrahim and Khushi’s acting skills and dialogues. Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty has an exciting lineup of more projects including Welcome To The Jungle and the Amazon miniTV action series Hunter Season 2.
